What I'm loving lately!

I LOVE the back to school/work feeling of September!!! Feels like so much MORE pressure to get all the things done you’ve wanted to this year & hit the grind haha! One of the most inspiring things keeping me going has been the growth mindset, “committing my plans to the Lord,” and remembering Coach Wooden's words, “there is no substitute for work. Worthwhile results come from hard work and careful planning.” He reminds us how hard the apostles had to work: “Don’t you remember, dear brothers and sisters, how hard we worked among you? Night and day we toiled to earn a living so that our expenses would not be a burden to anyone there as we preached God’s God News among you,” 1 Thessolaonians 2:9. Whatever you are working toward this season, don’t let your failures fad you, keep filling your cup with inspiring thoughts and pick yourself back up! Quoting Wooden’s favorite poem, “When I look back, it seems to me, All the grief that had to be, Left me when the pain was o’er, stronger than I was before!” If you’re feeling behind, feeling swamped, feeling failure…keep going, keep praying and listen or read something inspiring :)

Although my beloved reading/podcast time has been limited since I started back to work as an NP, began teaching 1st grade/pre-K to our boys, adding in some NFP & BIS ministry here and there, phew!!! (Couldn’t do ANY of it without my amazing husband who literally helps me with basically everything!) I wanted to share with you some inspiring reads & listens that I’ve recently been loving:

Books from the past few months:

Coach Wooden’s Pyramid of Success - currently highlighting every single page, like the ultimate prep talk book of life! Here’s a great bible quote from the industriousness chapter, “Commit your work to the Lord, and then your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3 & “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” Proverbs 19:21. This speaks SO well to this season of the year when we make so many plans…BUT then the Lord surprises us as two of my dear friends reminded me this past week :)
