Andrew's Baptism & Baptismal Vows!

What a complete joy to be parents to a newly baptized baby!!! I cried as I heard those baptismal promises.

What a gift is our faith.

Yesterday, that faith was shaken, I’d lost my inner peace and cried over worldly things. Thankfully, faithful friends and God’s promises directed me back. Don’t let the devil win, they said.

On this feast of Christ’s baptism, let’s do that for each other. Let’s remember.

First, find the date of your baptism & your kid’s baptisms and write them in your 2021 calendar. Dedicate to celebrating your birthday’s into the Church!

Second, renew your baptismal vows with your family! In the car ride to church, before dinner or bedtime, repeat:

Do you reject Satan?
I do.

And all his works?
I do.

And all his empty promises?
I do.

Do you believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth?
I do.

Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father?
I do.

Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting?
I do.

God, the all-powerful Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has given us a new birth by water and the Holy Spirit and forgiven all our sins. May he also keep us faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ for ever and ever.
AMEN.

That is our joy! The devil won’t win. We’ve rejected him. He has no power over our inner peace.

Let’s use these squares while we can, to spread the message that comes from our Prince of Peace.

Thank you for being here beautiful people.

As we welcome our little Andrew home, and remember Christ’s church birthday - may we be filled with hope.

When we’re feeling weary, may our baptized souls repeat, “we must decrease, so HE can increase!”

We do! We believe! May our baptized lights shine! ❤️🙌🏻🙏

In Joy,

Alex
