Reflecting Mary in 2021!

“In 2021, be the moon, reflect the SON!”

“I thought of you,” texted my spiritual director, “and all women.”

All women called to follow our mother’s example.

Wow. Have you heard the imagery of our Mother Mary as the moon? As the moon has no light within itself but reflects the light from the sun; this is the life of our Lady. A reflection leading only closer to Jesus.

But we forget! We ask,

Mary, did you know?

Our 2020 suffering? Our motherhood worry, marital stress, late night cries, fears of first steps, emotions of teenage years?

What it’s like to bear a child and carry his heart in yours?

Yes, she tells us, I know.

As we enter this new year and celebrate her life tomorrow, let’s re-dedicate our womanhood to her. She’s our answer to the New Year.

Pick a new prayer to say – the rosary, the Memorare, the Hail Holy Queen, the Hail Mary, or my simple favorite,

“Mother Mary, be a mother to me now!”

Bring her grace and example with us. Allow our life, like hers, to be a reflection.

Remember when we’re burnt out, at the end of a year, a day, a moment – we don’t need to re-ignite ourselves. Just do as our mama taught;

Be the moon, reflect the SON!

Congratulations, sister, we made it! Jesus is proud of you, right where you are & is reflecting His light in YOU!!!! 🙌🏻😍🙏

What was your greatest joy in 2020??

Thank you for helping us celebrate ours, hoping this reflective smile lasts, as we get him baptized tomorrow! 🙌🏻 & celebrate our New Years Eve baby, second son Dominic, turning 5 today!

May we celebrate God’s goodness & Mama Mary be ever close! HERES TO 2021!!!

With Joy, Alex
❤️❤️❤️
